visa question

HI, I am Canadian permanent resident right now, I've done all my canadian exams( MCCEE, MCCQ1) and would apply for residency next year in Canada . But I feel I need to start a parallel process in US. So I did Step 2 ck-99 , but i still can not understand- after passing all those exams in US , what the process should I start with the visa( which kind of and what are the porposes for different forms?).Could somebody answer or refers to the previous topics?

Being a Canadian, you still need a visa - J1 or H1.
J1 is sponsored byu the ECFMG after you successfuly match to a program.
H1 is sponsored by hospitals themselves and requires having Step 3 passed.

In other words you should start handling visa after you matched.
